The Beginning

Where it all began:

When my husband and I were planning our wedding, we added a fair amount of special touches that made the day suit our style.
One of those special touches was a cake top that was made to look just like us.
I had used polymer clay in other projects and decided to give it a try.
After our wedding, a few of our friends had asked if I would be interested in making one for their wedding, and from there it took off.

Since this original cake top was created, I have acquired much experience which has broadened my skill level.
The cake tops are now much more refined and detailed, and the techniques that I use have enabled me to create custom figurines that are more beautiful and artistic.

The Proposal

One of the best things about creating a completely customized cake topper, is that there is always a story behind each piece.

This cake topper tells the story of this couple's proposal:
It was the bride's birthday. The groom presented her with a small box. Of course, we all know what she was expecting. But when she opened it, she found a very small Swiss Army Knife. Seeing her disappointment, the groom immediately grabbed the knife and tried to explain how great it was by showing her all of it's useful tools.
He opened one of the knives and fell to the floor exclaiming that he had cut his finger!
She responded by consoling him and asking to see how bad it was.
When he looked up at her and extended his hand, he was holding the ring.
The playing cards simply represent the groom's love of playing poker.
The Ace of Hearts represents their love, and two becoming one. The two cards on the deck facing up are the King and Queen of Hearts.

The Karaoke Singer

The bride had this topper made as a surprise to the groom.
According to the bride, the groom loves champagne...
And once the champagne starts flowing, there's no stopping him from singing!

The Ice Skates

The groom grew up as a hockey player. Before a trip to an ice skating arena as a couple, he put the ring box in her ice skate.
When she tried to put on the skate, she noticed there was something stuck in the toe.
When she pulled out the box and looked up, he was kneeling in front of her.
